Track Times...Beleive it or Not!!

Last night I went to the 1/8 mi dragstrip (cause that's all we have in SC/NC). Well I got my best times ever. I have a stock settup...JRSC with 6psi settup (guage reads 8psi) w/ slicks and no backseats.

I couldn't beleive it. I was told that 8.6 was impossible with 6psi set up so that was my goal to beat. I didn't expect to beat it that well. lsn2ocivic was there and he also had a succcessful night. He ran 8.46 at 83.** mph.

My set up is:
stock 6psi boost timing at 11 deg
5 gal of 93 oct and 2.5 gal of 100 oct = about 94-95 octane (maybe)
idle fuel pres. at 48psi static at 64(whoa too high!!!)
msd coil
b&m fpr
magnecor wires
ngkr 1step cold non vtec plugs
str fuel rail
comptech short ram intake (no ice box yet)
DC 4-2-1 headers
Greddy EVO exhaust
Aerospeed testpipe
tokiko 5 way adjustible struts (stiff at track, soft on street)
skunk 2 coilovers
50 psi in rear tires
16 psi in slicks 14x8x20 MT (I know their small, but I got a good deal on them)
Stock shifter with Civic R shiftnob
ClutchMasters stage 4 clutch w/ 8lb flywheel
Fiberimages carbon fiber hood

I think thats about it. I just recieved today my Map Mod from Jim today so that doesn't count (thanks JIM!).

Most of the reason I beleive I ran that time was the weather and my suspension. Suspension plays a BIG part in cutting good E.T.s.

I've never been to rockingham cause of time, but I will go someday. Maybe some of you NC guys can come to ShadySide in Boiling Springs NC or go the Greer Dragway in SC. Hope so.

I would love to know what your car is capable of in the 1/4 mile.

I'm not too sure. I've never ran a quarter before, but from what I've seen others run I would guess it to be mid to low 13's. (Just guessing though.)

Congrats on the times!!!....hey by the way isnt the ROCK a 1/4 mile drag strip??..its in NC right??...why not go there??...Im new to the NC area and looking for hardcore Honda/Acura guys to hang out with...if you ever make it over to Raleigh/Durham throw me an email

Hey great time! Temperature last night was nice and cool here in NC and the barometer was reading high. So an extra psi of boost was achievable by the weather. Perfect for record beating times. Congrats!

I live in Fayetteville and we have a 1/4 mile track, its closed for the winter, but Rockingham's 1/4 mile track is open. Maybe we NC/SC supercharged guys should hook up at the Rock sometime.

The best 1/8th I have done here in NC is a 8.79@77mph. Not bad for a non-vtec.
